New Testament: 1Co 4.9
To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 4 on August 22, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
How many people have sacrificed for us that we might be what we are and that we might have what we have? Only God knows the total number of people and who they were and what they did. When you think of all those people, be sure to add the apostles, as Paul reminded the Corinthian Church:
For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.
– 1 Corinthians 4.9
There was nothing glorious, at least in this world, about being an apostle, yet, those men took the life-changing gospel message to the world and the world has never been the same. My life has not been the same.
- How have the apostles changed your life?
- Are you sacrificing for others?
