Knowledge is good, but love is better. Paul explained why:
“Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.”
– 1 Corinthians 8.1
Knowledge alone has the potential to make a person arrogant, to think that he is better than others, but love, with or without knowledge, has the potential to edify, to build others up. Knowledge is necessary, for in the very next verse, Paul spoke of the need to know, but then right after that he spoke of loving God, and if a person does that, God knows such a one. It is better that God knows us than that we know other things. Knowledge is good, but love is greater. Therefore, try to excel in love today and watch the results.
