New Testament: Gal 1.20
To read the Bible in a year, read Galatians 1 on September 23, In the year of our Lord 2020
By Don Ruhl
Paul made a radical change when he converted from Judaism to Christ. He reminded the churches of Galatia of this change because they were starting to incorporate Judaism into Christianity, and he sought to show them why that was wrong. He showed them what he did after his conversion and that he got the information that he preached to them from Christ. Paul then declared:
Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.
– Galatians 1.20
Anyone can say that he is not lying, but it is another thing when the person raises the level to declare that they make such a claim before God. True, liars will say that they speak before God, so what we have to do is consider the claims that someone like Paul has made. Have others testified of his change? Yes, the Book of Acts shows his change and we have testimony from various people in the Book of Acts of the change that he made.
Paul claimed to speak the truth and he actually did it.
Questions:
- Do you have problems with Paul?
- If so, why?
