New Testament: Gal 4.13–14
To read the Bible in a year, read Galatians 4 on September 26, In the year of our Lord 2020
By Don Ruhl
The Lord brings a preacher and lost souls together in many interesting ways, such as Paul with the Galatians:
You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first. And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
– Galatians 4.13–14
Because of an illness or injury or something with his body, he came in contact with the Galatians, and Paul, being the man that he was, preached to them. And they looked right past his physical problem, which evidently could have repulsed them, but they accepted his message so generously that they accepted him as they would have an angel of God or even as Jesus Himself.
- Can you look past people’s repulsive or attractive appearance and see their spiritual need?
- Do others look into your soul?
