New Testament: Rev 4.9–10
To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 4 on December 13, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
A voice invited John up into heaven, and once there, he found himself in the throne room of God Himself. He saw four living creatures proclaiming the holiness of God, and John explained that whenever the living creatures did so, this happened:
Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne…
– Revelation 4.9–10
The twenty-four elders also say something magnificent to God, and Lord willing, we will cover that next year, but it was the proclamation of God’s holiness and His ever-present nature in the past, present, and future that moved them to so act and to so speak.
Questions:
- What do you do when you think of the holiness of God?
- How often do you worship with the church?
