When Israel turned to the Lord

Old Testament: Mic 5.9

To read the Bible in a year, read Micah 4–5 on December 20, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020

By Don Ruhl

The Lord had spoken of Israel being in the midst of the Gentiles because He has intended all along that His spiritual blessings would be for the world by the hand of Israel. When that happens in the church, the Bible also says:

Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries,
And all your enemies shall be cut off.

– Micah 5.9

What a beautiful sight when Jews and Gentiles come together in Christ, which is the way that the Lord promised it would be when He first spoke to Abraham (Genesis 12.3).

  • What have you seen happen to the enemies of God’s people over time?
  • Do you like to see new people in the church?
