Old Testament: Hab 2.9
To read the Bible in a year, read Habakkuk on December 23, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
The wicked think that they can do evil and use it for good, avoiding suffering, but Habakkuk spoke against such thinking:
“Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house,
That he may set his nest on high,
That he may be delivered from the power of disaster!”
– Habakkuk 2.9
The Lord through the prophet, pronounced woe to the person who thinks that he can gain things in an evil way, and that such gain will guard him when disaster enters his life. Truly, he will discover that it will not help at all.
Our hope in the day of disaster is the Lord who created all things and who maintains everything under his control.
Questions:
- Are you under the control of the Lord?
