New Testament: Mark 13.23
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 13.14–37 on March 11, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
After one of the disciples had tried to impress Jesus with Herod’s temple, He began to explain that not only would the temple face destruction, but so would Jerusalem. He then warned:
“But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.”
– Mark 13.23
No Christian should have been surprised when the Roman army marched upon the city and destroyed the temple. Jesus gave them plenty of signs, and history says that no Christians died in the battle because they did take heed just as Jesus warned.
We do not know when Jesus is returning, although you hear many people trying to predict the time, but they have failed every time, because Jesus gave no signs of His return, although He did assure us that He will come again.
- Are you ready for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?
- Why do you think everyone who has predicted the return of Jesus has failed?
