A brief word on the exodus

Old Testament: Jos 24.5

To read the Bible in a year, read Joshua 23–24 on March 29, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021

By Don Ruhl

The Lord wanted Joshua to speak to Israel as he was getting old and would not be around Israel much longer. One thing that Joshua quoted the Lord as saying was this:

“Also I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to what I did among them. Afterward I brought you out.”

– Joshua 24.5

That is about as brief as you can get in summarizing Israel’s deliverance from Egypt. God sent Moses and Aaron. God plagued Egypt. God brought Israel out. The next sentence in your Bible speaks of Israel at the Red Sea.

  • Of Moses and Aaron, which one was older and by how many years?
  • How many of the plagues can you list?
