New Testament: Luke 15.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 15.1–10 on April 15, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
Ponder this passage the rest of the day, and ask yourself why the following people were attracted to Jesus:
Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.
– Luke 15.1
Tax collectors, Jews who worked for the Roman government, and people whose lives were characterized by sin, drew near to Jesus because they wanted to hear Him! He wanted to hear them and they knew by his actions that he loved them.
Do those kinds of people flock to the church today to hear what we have to say? If not, why not? If they did, would we do what the Pharisees did as revealed in Luke 15.2?
- What kind of people do you attract?
- What attracted you to Christ and to Christians?
