New Testament: Acts 21.7
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 21.1–14 on July 19, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
Paul and his friends rushed for Jerusalem because he sought a great evangelistic opportunity there:
And when we had finished our voyage from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, greeted the brethren, and stayed with them one day.
– Acts 21.7
Could you hear Luke’s haste in his writing? Paul wanted to be in Jerusalem for the Day of Pentecost and that day approached quickly. He wanted to save those who were his brethren according to the flesh. He lived for saving others.
Questions:
- Why do you live?
- How important is evangelism to you?
