New Testament: Rom 2.25
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 2 on August 1, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
First, Paul revealed the Gentile world living without God. Then the apostle showed the Jewish world living in hypocrisy, living as though they believed in God, but denying it by the kind of lives they led. He told them:
For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
– Romans 2.25
The Jew could claim that he belonged to God because of having been circumcised, but that was only true if the Jew kept the law. However, if the Jew broke the law, in the eyes of God it was as though that man had never been circumcised.
You claim to have been baptized, but do you fail to keep the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ? If that is the case, it is as though you are unbaptized in the sight of God because you will lose your soul.
- Have you been baptized in water?
- If you have fallen away from the faith, do you know what to do come back?
