Old Testament: Psa 71.14–16
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 70–72 on August 3, In the year of our Lord 2021
By Don Ruhl
When you say that you trust in God, what do you mean? Do you trust Him without condition? Do you trust Him for everything? See how the psalmist trusted in God,
But I will hope continually,
And will praise You yet more and more.
My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness
And Your salvation all the day,
For I do not know their limits.
I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD;
I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
– Psalm 71.14–16
The psalmist believed that he could trust the Lord without reservation, and he did not put any limits on his trust in the Lord. If the Lord of whom we read about in the Bible is the God who created all things, and I believe that He is, then of course we can put 100% of our trust in Him. How could we think of doing any less?
Questions:
- Do you trust in God?
- Do you worry whether you will have what you need?
