New Testament: Rom 16.3–5a
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 16 on August 18, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
Look at the husband and wife team of Priscilla and Aquila:
Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet the church that is in their house.
– Romans 16.3–5a
Everyone loved and appreciated this Christian couple who risked their lives in a way for Paul of which we do not know. They hosted a church in their home. These people lived for the Lord, which meant that they would die for him also.
Questions:
- Are you working on developing a relationship with your spouse so that someday such words may be said about you?
- If your spouse is not a Christian, what do you need to do to convert him or her?
