Why we need to be resurrected with a changed body

New Testament: 1Co 15.50

To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 15.33–58 on September 7, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021

By Don Ruhl

Our bodies shall be resurrected on the last great day of earth when the Lord causes our spirits to reenter our bodies, and all that are in the graves shall rise. However, heaven is different than earth, so a change needs to take place, as it is written:

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

– 1 Corinthians 15.50

He shall change our natural bodies of flesh and blood to spiritual bodies. Our spiritual bodies shall resemble the body of Jesus and what it is now (Philippians 3.20–21; First John 3.2). To get a glimpse of his body now read: Revelation 1.12–16.
