New Testament: 2Th 3.17
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Thessalonians 3 on October 20, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
In the first century, some people had already started forging letters as though from Paul, but Paul signed his letters, just as we might sign a hand-written letter today.
The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; so I write.
– 2 Thessalonians 3.17
The Thessalonians knew his signature, and so they kept this letter and made copies of it and started circulating it throughout the church. As a result, we have Second Thessalonians today, along with his other letters that the Holy Spirit preserved in the Scriptures.
