Old Testament: Hos 10.3
To read the Bible in a year, read Hosea 9–11 on December 11, In the year of our Lord 2021
By Don Ruhl
Israel seemed to know why they did not have a king, but they also realized that a human king would not help them,
For now they say,
“We have no king,
Because we did not fear the LORD.
And as for a king, what would he do for us?”
– Hosea 10.3
Why then not start fearing the Lord? Often, I talk with people who exhibit this attitude. They know that they have turned their backs on the Lord; they know that they have forsaken the church; they know that they are violating the teachings of the Lord. Yet, they do not change.
Do they hope that He will forget them at the Judgment? Do they think He will change His mind at that time and throw away what He had taught us in the Scriptures? What do they think?
Questions:
- Why do you keep doing things that are wrong?
- How does your life affect the Lord?
