Will you be first or last?

New Testament: Matt 20.16

To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 20.1–16 on January 29, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

By Don Ruhl

When you are waiting and others put forth themselves, often in a rude manner, remember the teaching of Jesus:

“So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”

– Matthew 20.16

Remember that the Lord will always take care of you. If you have been put last in something for reasons not known to you, just be patient and watch the Lord work, for he will repay your godly patience.

  • Have you already witnessed what Jesus promised in this text?
  • Have you helped others who were last to be first next time?
