People know when the truth has touched them

New Testament: Matt 21.45

To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 21.23–46 on February 1, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

By Don Ruhl

Jesus spoke some parables that illustrated the sins of the chief priests and Pharisees, and they picked up on it:

Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them.

– Matthew 21.45

And they made sure that he paid the price for showing their error; they turned him over to the Romans for crucifixion.

Some people will love you for speaking the truth and some will hate you for speaking the truth. Either way, it is the truth that has affected people. We cannot take credit for people accepting the truth and we cannot take the blame for people who reject the truth.

Questions:

  • What do you like about the parables of Christ?
  • Do you have any traits of Pharisaism?
