Old Testament: Lev 14.10
To read the Bible in a year, read Leviticus 14 on February 12, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Evidently, leprosy was not only a matter of the flesh, but also of the spirit. Therefore, when an Israelite was cleansed of leprosy, he had to go through a cleansing ritual. The first seven days of the ritual, certain things were done:
“And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and one log of oil.”
– Leviticus 14.10
Then the cleansed person had to appear before the Lord at the tabernacle.
While the spirit of man takes precedence in the mind of God, the flesh of man does have a place in God’s mind also. God created the body and he wants us to use it in service to him. Our bodies do not belong to us, but to him who made them.
Questions:
- On what day would this offering be made?
- Have you given your body to the Lord for his service to use you as he desires?
