New Testament: John 12.35–36
To read the Bible in a year, read John 12.20–50 on June 1, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
As the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ approached its end, he urged the Jews to believe while they still had the time:
Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.
– John 12.35–36
He referred to himself as the light. If anyone does not believe in Jesus, that person walks in darkness, and as a result that person does not see what the outcome of his life shall be, but if you believe in the light, that is, in Jesus, you will see as you never saw before.
Questions:
- Are you in the light or in the darkness?
- How much longer do you think you shall live?
