New Testament: Acts 2.40
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 2.14–47 on June 17, In the year of our Lord 2022
By Don Ruhl
After Peter convicted the multitude of Jews in Jerusalem for killing the Son of God, they wanted to do know what to do, and he told them to repent and to be baptized. However, he continued to preach:
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”
– Acts 2.40
The perversity of that generation had manifested itself by murdering the Son of God. If those people did not repent, they would get caught up in that perversity and never repent and be the subject of God’s wrath.
Questions:
- Do we live in a perverse generation?
- If so, how does our generation reveal its perversity?
