Why do you read and meditate on the law of the Lord? Why do you subscribe to things like this email list of the devotionals that I send out? Why do you want to hear teaching and preaching from the Sacred Scriptures? Undoubtedly, you would say something like what David did:
More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
– Psalm 19.10
David spoke for me and I am persuaded that he spoke for you. Yes, I want the law of the Lord more than gold, even the finest gold that is found anywhere on the earth, because it is sweeter than honey to me.
Perhaps you should say something like that to the Lord.
Questions:
- How much gold do you own?
- Do you like honey?

For me, the word of the Lord is God’s love for us, and the opportunity to have the ultimate relationship with Him. If you don’t know His word, you’ll never know Him or the depth of his love for you.
