If you believe in God and have received Christ, somewhere along the way, a preacher made it possible, as Paul told the Romans: 

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

– Romans 10.14 

That is just the Lord’s way. He wanted to get the message out by preaching. That means the church needs to have preachers and to continue to send out preachers.
