James showed why we should not make plans for tomorrow without considering whether the Lord will allow it or not. Those who plan as though God does not exist, commit sin. Then James said: 

But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

– James 4.16 

We cannot forget that we do not run the universe, but our Creator does. If we act as though he does not exist, James called that boasting and it is evil.

• Do you plan without considering the Lord’s will? 
• Do you plan or do you just do whatever comes into your mind?
