New Testament: 1Pe 2.21–23
To read the Bible in a year, read First Peter 2 on November 25, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
We suffer and we often do not know why we suffer, but we can follow the example of Christ our Lord:
For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
“Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;
who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously…
– 1 Peter 2.21–23
Even if someone is not persecuting you, but you are suffering another way, remember what was said, and use Jesus as your example.
Questions:
- What do you do when someone hurts you?
- How do you pray to God when you suffer?
