New Testament: 1Jo 2.20–21
To read the Bible in a year, read First John 2 on December 3, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
John wanted his readers to know that they had come to know the truth. This is important because there are many who say that we cannot know for sure that we know the truth, but John, writing by the Holy Spirit, declared:
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
– 1 John 2.20–21
Beware of someone who tries to persuade you that you cannot know that you know the truth, but remember that John said that you do know the truth.
Questions:
- If we know the truth, how should we handle the truth?
- Likewise, how should we handle our hearts when we know that we know the truth?
