Anyone who opposes God’s people and whoever fights against Him, eventually discovers that they lose. Think of all the idols that men have created over the centuries and ask where they are. God had said: 

This they shall have for their pride,
Because they have reproached and made arrogant threats
Against the people of the LORD of hosts.
The LORD will be awesome to them,
For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth;
People shall worship Him,
Each one from his place,
Indeed all the shores of the nations.

– Zephaniah 2.10–11 

Those idols are gone, especially in the land of Israel, and what idols still exist on the earth shall have an end just like all the previous idols that men have invented.
