Showing Compassion

New Testament: Matt 25.35–36

To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 25.31–46 on February 9, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023

By Don Ruhl

Jesus will explain to people why they made it to heaven, reminding them of the good that they did:

“…for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”

– Matthew 25.35–36

They showed Jesus compassion when they showed even the least of his people compassion. Most people think all that matters is knowing the right things, and telling others that they are wrong, but while believing the truth is important, we have to live the truth.

Find a way to live the truth today by helping someone.

Questions:

  • When was the last time someone helped you?
