New Testament: Matt 28.7–8
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 28 on February 15, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
Imagine experiencing the ministry of Jesus Christ as a couple of women did, and your hopes have been lifted higher than ever before for anything. Then you witness his horrible death.
Later you go to visit his tomb, but it is open and an angel greets you, saying that Jesus is not there, and then the angel says:
“And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”
– Matthew 28.7
Would you go quickly as the angel instructed? Would you have joy unspeakable? Matthew showed how these women reacted:
So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.
– Matthew 28.8
Those women just could not walk, but the surge of excitement running through their bodies made them run!
We serve a risen Savior!
Questions:
- What would you have done if you saw Jesus?
- Would you have believed the women?
