Old Testament: Num 12.3
To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 11–13 on February 24, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
What would it take to lead a minimum of 3.5 million people out of a hostile nation and through a wilderness for 40 years? Moses was the man for the job, but notice this statement:
(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
– Numbers 12.3
There is a good chance that Joshua wrote that about Moses rather than Moses saying that of himself.
He was obviously a strong character in every way, but that did not preclude humility. In fact, humility was absolutely necessary, because he was doing the Lord’s work and that meant submitting to the one who was truly leading Israel.
Questions:
- Do you function as a leader in anyway in life?
- Have you learned that you can be strong and be humble at the same time?
