The children of Israel sinned greatly by rejecting the Land of Canaan that the Lord had given to them. As a result the Lord said this to Moses: 

And the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me.”

– Numbers 14.26–27 

If the Lord had not asked Moses that question, but if he had asked you, how would you have answered him? 

Have you heard of intercessory prayer? This would be the time for such a prayer, because Israel needed it desperately. 

Questions: 

• Do you ever make intercessory prayer for others? 
• Do you complain against God?
