New Testament: Luke 7.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 7.1–30 on March 30, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
Luke 7 begins the remarkable story of a centurion whose humility and faith impressed the Lord Jesus. However, before noticing that in your reading, take note of this:
Now when He concluded all His sayings in the hearing of the people, He entered Capernaum. And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die.
– Luke 7.1–2
Get the picture. A Roman centurion loved his servant. Therefore, the centurion did what he could to save the life of his servant. While the servant did serve the centurion, how do you think the centurion treated the servant?
Questions:
- How do you treat people who serve you?
- How do you treat waitresses and waiters?
- Do you show the spirit of this centurion?
- Do you show the spirit of Christ?
