New Testament: Luke 11.43
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 11.29–54 on April 8, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023

The Pharisees were the epitome of fake religion. For example, religion should teach us humility, but the Pharisees were just the opposite. Notice this that Jesus said about them:
“Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.”
– Luke 11.43
To the Pharisee, religion was all about self, but to Jesus, it was all about the Father and others. The Pharisees sought recognition, but they missed the whole point of religion in so thinking.
Questions:
- What do you seek?
- Is your life about yourself, or about God and others?
