New Testament: John 2.24–25
To read the Bible in a year, read John 2 on May 9, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023

John stated that in Jerusalem many believed in Jesus when they witnessed the signs that he did, but then John said:
But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.
– John 2.24–25
He knew how fickle people can be, and some of these very people may have been the ones demanding his death later.
One moment men are ready to die for the Lord, the next moment they want him to die.
