New Testament: John 10.15
To read the Bible in a year, read John 10.1–21 on May 26, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
Just who is it that laid down his life for us? We talk about it so much that we just might take it for granted that Jesus laid down his life for us, but let’s think about this some:
“As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.”
– John 10.15
Anyone who would lay down his life for us would be significant to us, but what if that person is a high and mighty one? What if that person is the most significant one anywhere? Is that not Jesus?
What made him special? The Father knows him and he knows the Father. Yet, he laid down his life for sheep! From the highest to the lowest he had or has great knowledge and love. How many kings and queens of the earth would die for sheep?
Questions:
- What does Jesus mean to you?
- What makes him significant to you?
