The Lord often acts in response to the requests of his children, which is why he tells us to pray. In Psalm 82, the psalmist urged the Lord to act: “Arise, O God, judge the earth; for You shall inherit all nations” (Psalm 82.8). 

He owns the earth and everything on it, including the nations. Therefore, if the nations do not live as the Lord directs, he will judge them, and he shall thus inherit all nations. 

Revelation 11.15 puts it this way: “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11.15). 

This is why we want to have our citizenship in the kingdom of Christ.
