New Testament: John 6.62
To read the Bible in a year, read John 6.45–71 on May 18, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024
By Don Ruhl
Jesus told the Jews that he was the Bread of heaven, but most of them could not accept what he said. He then asked whether it offended them, and then he said: “What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?” (John 6.62).
If they could not believe that he was the Bread that came down from heaven, what will they do when they see him in heaven after he had ascended? That was a claim that backed up what he said about himself.
Truly, all of us shall see him to where he ascended. Are you prepared for that meeting with him?
Questions:
- Who is Jesus?
- What did Jesus mean that he is the Bread of heaven?

I have wondered what it will be like to see Jesus. I love Him but I know it will be a different experience than what I can imagine. I feel bold about Jesus now. I will probably be very shy face to face. What an awesome thought!

I agree, Cathy. I also think of what it will be like to see him. Truly, nothing that we experience in this life is even worthy of being compared to such an experience.
