Old Testament: Isa 45.23–25
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 45–47 on October 11, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

Here is something that the entire world needs to know; everyone shall make a confession to the Lord.
However, it is either voluntary now, and it will be a victorious confession, or it will be later at the Judgment when all appear before the Lord, and then they will confess who he is, but it will be too late to save a person.
Isaiah quoted the Lord as saying: “I have sworn by Myself; the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath. He shall say, ‘Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, and all shall be ashamed who are incensed against Him. In the LORD all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory’” (Isaiah 45.23–25).
Paul quoted part of this prophecy in Romans 14, showing that the Lord here is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus is Lord, for he created all, and if we wish to have righteousness and strength, as the prophet here spoke, then we have to look to the one that the New Testament proclaims is the Lord of heaven and earth.
Questions:
- Have you confessed that Jesus is Lord?
- Has anyone heard you say it?
