Old Testament: Numbers 33.2
To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 32–33 on March 4, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
You probably know that Israel was in the wilderness for forty years between the time that they left Egypt and entered the Promised Land.
Numbers 33 records all the places that they camped: “Now Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys at the command of the LORD. And these are their journeys according to their starting points…” (Numbers 33.2).
Then he recorded all the places. Yet, although they were not in the Land of Canaan, the God of heaven and earth was still with them at each place.
Questions from today’s reading and devotional:
- How many camps did they have between leaving Egypt and crossing the Red Sea?
- How many times since your birth have you moved?
