Bowing to worship, standing to praise

King Jehoshaphat had prayed to the Lord, because the enemies of God’s people had joined forces and sought to destroy Jerusalem, but the king prayed to God, and He promised to deliver Judah, and Judah would not even have to fight. In response, the Bible says,

And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord. Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high (2 Chronicles 20.18–19).

What would you do, if tens of thousands of foreign armies surrounded your city, and you knew that you were doomed, and you did not know what to do? If you prayed to the Lord, and He gave you and your city deliverance without a battle, would you worship the Lord? Would you stand up to praise Him?
