10.10.2014 New Testament: Col 2.13–14
To read the Bible in a year, read Colossians 2 on October 10, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
How many things did Jesus do for us when the Romans nailed Him to a cross? Here are a couple of things,
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross (Colossians 2.13–14).
We were dead in our trespasses, but the Father made us alive with Jesus by forgiving us of all those trespasses. He nailed the Law to the cross, because the Law had made us guilty of trespassing. We are free! Praise the Lord!
