Do not judge your brother

To read the Bible in a year, read James 4 on November 22, In the year of our Lord 2015

Some of us fall easily into the trap of judging our brothers and sisters in Christ, forgetting that we are not the lawgiver,

Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? (James 4.11–12).

Leave the judging, leave the saving, and leave the destroying to the Lawgiver, the Lord Jesus. He is the One who made the Law. Why then do we think we can function as judges?
