Do you wish that you had a rich father so that when he died, you had instant wealth? You do have a rich Father, and when YOU die, you shall inherit greatly. Remember what the Lord said about the Levites,
“The priests, the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel; they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and His portion. Therefore they shall have no inheritance among their brethren; the LORD is their inheritance, as He said to them” (Deuteronomy 18.1–2).
Truly every Israelite had the Lord as their portion, but the tribe of Levi in a special way, for they did the service of the tabernacle.
Christians resemble Levites in that our true inheritance we experience later, although we enjoy many aspects of it even now.
- Do you know what the inheritance of the Lord is?
- Do you value spiritual things over material things?
