My nation exists because God either allowed it to exist, or He brought it into existence, either way, my nation should obey God, even as Moses told Israel,

Then Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, “Take heed and listen, O Israel: This day you have become the people of the LORD your God. Therefore you shall obey the voice of the LORD your God, and observe His commandments and His statutes which I command you today” (Deuteronomy 27.9–10).

Failure to embrace this wish of our Creator leads to serious consequences, which Moses showed next.

Questions:

  • What are you doing to encourage the citizens of your nation to obey God?
  • Do you believe God is responsible for the existence of your nation?
