04.11.2016 New Testament: Luke 13.18–19
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 13.1–21 on April 11, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Jesus showed the awesome growth of the church/kingdom, when He taught,
Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches” (Luke 13.18–19).
The first people who heard those words, and all who heard them centuries after, surely had no idea just how far Jesus meant. Compared to what the church is today, it started from something small, but because the Lord planted it, it has spread over the entire globe.
- Do you believe that the Lord can do far more than you can ever imagine?
- Have you found out what you should be doing in the kingdom/church?
- Are you doing it?
