07.12.2016 – Old Testament: Psa 7.14–16
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 7–9 on July 12, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
The wicked do not keep their wickedness to themselves, but do all they can to spread their evil and either to harm those who oppose them, or try to recruit others to do their wickedness. However, David wrote,
Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity;
Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood.
He made a pit and dug it out,
And has fallen into the ditch which he made.
His trouble shall return upon his own head,
And his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.
(Psalm 7.14–16)
The wicked will discover that they harm themselves in their wickedness. The Lord set up life to operate in that manner, that we reap what we sow.
