Christianity at one time filled Western Culture, but we have drifted from such ways. Why? What has turned people away from belief in God and trust in His word as the guide for daily living?
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened (Romans 1.20–21).
Someone has persuaded the Western mind that God does not exist, contrary to the overwhelming evidence of the things that He made. Therefore, they do not glorify Him as God, nor are they thankful toward Him, but their thinking shows futile thoughts and foolishness has filled their hearts, making their hearts dark.
To see how they now think consider how they believe we have arrived without God. They believe that the universe came from nothing, or nearly nothing, that order came from the chaos of the Big Bang, and from that life arose from non-living things, and eventually one form of life transformed itself into the innumerable varieties of life we see today.
- Do you believe that God exists?
- Do you believe that He is aware of your existence?
