Paul reminded the Corinthian Church of one of their families and how that family had progressed as Christians, and then Paul told the Corinthian brethren what they were to do toward that family,
I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints—that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us (1 Corinthians 16.15–16).
To that family and toward anyone who devotes him or herself to the ministry of the saints, we should submit to them, offering our help and resources.
- Do you know a family like the family of Stephanas?
- How do you treat them?
