How many priests served during the time that the Law of Moses was in force? We know it was more than one! Why? Because those priests kept dying, but with the Lord Jesus Christ, His priesthood remains forever since He never dies in heaven,

And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life (Hebrews 7.15–16).

The priesthood of Christ does not depend upon the flesh, but upon His endless life. Praise God that we have a priest who shall always go before the Father on our behalf!

Questions:

  • How often do you think of the High Priesthood of Christ?
  • What does His priesthood mean to you?
